Customers often see Amanda studying as she works in her family’s restaurant.  What they do not see is how many hours she works and how she interprets for her non-English speaking parents, handling bills, vendors, supplies and banking.  At school, Amanda is active in Key Club, HOSA, Historical Club, Panorama Staff, Debate Team, Diamond Dolls, Interact Spanish Club, SGA, and Future Business Leaders of America.  She has earned awards serving as a Girl State Delegate, HOSA State Pin designer, Medical Photography Award at the HOSA Leadership Conference, Focus Leadership, Math Team, Crenshaw County, and Troy Journalism Award.  She was also elected Homecoming Queen by her student body.   AmanadHua fang2
Amanda found her passion in the health field working with the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA).  By participating in HOSA competitions on both the State and National level she experienced inspiring and guiding professionals in the medical field.  Utilizing these experiences and research, Amanda desires to pursue a career in dentistry and orthodontics.  Amanda has shadowed a local dentist and says she couldn’t think of a better job than having one that makes people smile with confidence.
Amanda plans to attend Auburn this fall and pursue a career in dentistry and orthodontics.
